Getting Started: Your Training Guidelines

During this training, you will learn how to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals who have experienced trauma. Through a trauma-informed approach to yoga, you will explore the ways in which movement, breath, and mindfulness can help individuals regulate their nervous system and process difficult emotions.

Through a combination of theory and practice, you will gain an understanding of the impact of trauma on the mind and body, as well as how to adapt traditional yoga practices to be more inclusive and sensitive to the needs of trauma survivors. By the end of this training, you will have the tools and knowledge to guide trauma-informed yoga classes with compassion and confidence.
